We started Dartmoor House to create an outlet for editions of work by artists in our community. From the beginning we determined that we would manufacture very small limited edition runs of each piece, and that those runs would be produced by American craftsmen and women. Our curatorial guidelines put heavy emphasis on material, surface and weight. Because of the processes we use there will be slight variations in surface quality and texture from piece to piece within a given run. This is a reflection of the hands that were used to make the work.
